A new year is a good time to remind BPAY Scheme Members about recent updates that were made to the BPAY Operations Portal in late 2015. The enhancements are designed to improve the BPAY experience and introduce further efficiencies across the platform as well as the Scheme.
Here’s a rundown of the main changes:

  • Certification a cinch
We’ve made the Annual Member Compliance Certification (AMCC) process, which enables members to undertake annual compliance checks, more intuitive. This re-vamped process allows scheme participants to easily answer a set of applicable questions, as well as see their associates’ compliance status and print and share this information.

The AMCC is underpinned by a system driven workflow that gives members assurance their responses are being received and reviewed by BPAY.  Streamlined process have been introduced to allow members to provide further information to achieve Scheme compliance.  Finally, there are Quick Reference Guides relevant to each question available for download.

  • Better access to the Training Portal
It’s now even easier to access the Training Portal through the Operations Portal. Now, members only need to sign into the Operations Portal to be able to access the Training Portal. Once signed in, there’s a link on the Operations Portal that takes members straight through to the Training Portal.

  • Easier identification of Master Billers
We have also added functionality so Biller Institutions can identify Master Billers. All members need to do is go to the Add New Billers screen or use the Update Biller Screen to flag a Master Biller in the system.

  • Incorrect CRNs identified faster
We have also introduced efficiencies when members manually enter error corrections, delivering faster notification to Payer Institutions when there’s an error with a CRN.

Previously, users received a report the next business day when a CRN mistake was made in an error correction. Now, the CRN is validated at the time the error correction is made on the Operations Portal.

These are just the latest in our ongoing program to enhance the Operations Portal. Look out for further announcements about improvement to the portal throughout 2016.
